The JunkFAX-L Mailing List

bulkregister.com case settled.

Sorry - I haven't had much time to update these pages, but I settled with Bulkregister because they had already stopped the offending prerecorded telemarketing campaign.

In a nutshell, Bulkregister paid $1,500 plus court costs and agreed to abide by the TCPA.

bulkregister.com "phone spam"

Scroll down for actions that you can take.  At the very least, you can file a complaint with the FCC and your state's attorney general.  The more people who let various authorities know that they have received one of these calls, the more likely it is that they can understand the gravity of the situation and take action.

Apparently, bulkregister.com, a sister company of Alabanza, Inc., is transmitting unsolicited, prerecorded telephone solicitations to telephone numbers listed in the Network Solutions (a/k/a InterNIC) WHOIS database.  I received two calls last week, and found a third mesage waiting on my voice mail which was left on Saturday, Feb. 12.

The "spammed" message:

[Audio] WAV file (700K)
[Audio] RealAudio 4.0 (lower quality)
[Audio] RealAudio 4.0 (higher quality)
